4.1.3. Provision of the top dead point (TDP) of the 1st piston

Distributive tags of the top dead point (TDP) (it is specified by an arrow) are located on flywheel perimeter / a driving disk (are visible through a distributive opening in transmission) and at end faces of cam-shafts which asterisks are put on.

On some late models the opening in transmission is muffled, at the same time there is a cut of the top dead point in a crankshaft pulley, and on a cover of a distributive chain the measuring scale of distribution is put. Besides on these later models there are tags of the top dead point on a flywheel and on a cover of a back epiploon — that is very convenient if the engine understands on a workbench.

At exact combination of tags the N1 piston (located closer than the others to a distributive chain) will be in the top dead point (TDP).


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For ensuring access to a crankshaft pulley bolt the car in front and behind also establish to a poddomkratta it on axial support (address Poddomkrachivaniye's Section, towage and change of wheels). Remove the right forward wheel, then remove a molding of a forward wheel and then a loker of an arch of a wheel from under a forward right wing. On later models for ensuring access to a pulley of the crankshaft it is enough to take a rubber insert.
2. By means of the face key which is put on a crankshaft pulley bolt turn the engine so that the zero mark of the top dead point in a flywheel / a driving disk coincided with a distributive tag on transmission, or the cut in the top dead point of a pulley of the crankshaft coincided with a scale tag on a cover of a distributive chain. Now the piston No. 1 (closest to a distributive chain) is in the top dead point of a step of compression.
3. It is possible to make sure that it is a step of compression, having unscrewed a spark plug of the first cylinder and having stopped up with a finger a candle opening to feel pressure at approach of the piston to the top point of the course.
4. Uncover a head of cylinders according to instructions of the Section Removal and installation to the place of a cover of a head of cylinders.
5. Make sure that tags of the top dead point on the ends of cam-shafts on which asterisks put on coincided with the corresponding tags on covers of bearings of cam-shafts. If necessary for their coincidence turn the crankshaft.
