6.18. Removal and installation to the place of a turbocompressor

T3/TE05 turbocompressor

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Cock the emergency brake, then a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on axial props (address the Section: Poddomkrachivaniye, towage and change of wheels).
2. Remove from under a radiator the central air reflector, then on models with water cooling of a turbocompressor (that is models since 1987 of the issue) merge the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance).
3. Where it is necessary, remove a driving compressor belt of the air conditioning system and a natyazhitel.
4. Substitute the capacity of suitable volume under the oil cooler, then give the top union and turn out a fixing bolt of the oil cooler. Shift the oil line aside.
5. Give a fixing bolt of the compressor of the air conditioning system, cover the oil cooler with a piece of a cardboard, then lift the compressor towards a broad tank. Do not disconnect from the compressor refrigerator lines - see the preventions given in the Section Air conditioning system - the general information and precautionary measures.
6. Disconnect and remove from the support on a fan casing the control valve of increase in pressure, and disconnect wires.
7. Disconnect wires from the engine of the electric fan of the cooling system, then give bolts and remove a fan casing together with the radiator fan.
8. Disconnect wires from the measuring instrument of an air stream, then weaken clips on the air cleaner and disconnect a rubber knee from a turbocompressor. Remove the measuring instrument of an air stream.
9. Weaken a collar and disconnect the forcing tube from a turbocompressor.
10. Give bolts on a flange and disconnect the maslopodayushchy line from a turbocompressor, then give tightening a bolt of the oil line on a head of cylinders. Give the union of the oil line with a cap nut from the block of cylinders and release the oil line from clips on the inlet pipeline. Remove the oil line.
11. On models with water cooling of a turbocompressor give nipple nuts and disconnect cooler tubes from a turbocompressor.
12. Give nuts and disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a turbocompressor.
13. Disconnect forward rubber support from an exhaust pipe.
14. Otboltite also remove a bracket between a turbocompressor and the pallet of a case.
15. Give fixing bolts and pick up the maslovozvratny phone from a turbocompressor and the pallet of a case. Remove laying and a sealing ring. Block an opening by means of an adhesive tape in order to avoid dirt hit.
16. Give and remove fixing nuts of a final collector, then remove a final collector from a head of cylinders together with the turbocompressor block. Remove laying.
17. Give nuts and disconnect the turbocompressor block from a final collector. Pay attention that on nuts there are special lock flanges and they have to be replaced every time at removal. The new contour of a nut is already greased. Remove laying.

Installation into place

The turbocompressor has to be filled with oil at start of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clear contact surfaces, then establish a final collector on turbocompressor hairpins with application of new laying and tighten new nuts with the required effort. Lock flanges on nuts have to be turned inside.
2. Clear contact surfaces, then establish a final collector together with a turbocompressor on a head of cylinders. Use at the same time new laying. Tighten fixing nuts in the progressing order with the required effort.
3. Fix the oil line in clips on the inlet pipeline. Make sure that copper washers are in good shape, if necessary replace them, then tighten the union with a cap nut on the block of cylinders.
4. Fill a turbocompressor with pure motive oil via the union of supply of oil in a turbocompressor.
5. Connect the maslopodayushchy line to a turbocompressor, then tighten flange bolts. Establish into place on a head of cylinders and tighten tightening a bolt of the oil line.
6. Where is available, connect cooling tubes to a turbocompressor and tighten nipple nuts.
7. Connect a maslovozvratny tube to a turbocompressor and the pallet of a case, establish new laying and a new sealing ring, then tighten bolts.
8. Establish forward rubber support of an exhaust pipe.
9. Connect a reception exhaust pipe to a turbocompressor, having established new lock-nuts (lock flanges have to be turned outside).
10. Connect a delivery tube to a turbocompressor and tighten a collar.
11. Install into place the measuring instrument of an air stream and connect a rubber sleeve to a turbocompressor and the air cleaner. Establish clips and connect to the measuring instrument of an air stream of a wire.
12. Install into place a casing of the electric fan cooling systems together with the fan of a radiator and tighten fixing bolts. Connect wires to the fan engine.
13. Install the valve of control of increase in pressure upon a support on a casing of the fan and connect a returnable hose.
14. Where is available, install into place the compressor of the air conditioner and tighten fixing bolts.
15. Connect the oil line to the oil cooler and tighten the top union. Insert and tighten a fixing bolt of the oil cooler. Remove a protective leaf of a cardboard.
16. Establish into place a natyazhitel and a driving compressor belt of the air conditioning system, pull a belt (see the Head Routine maintenance).
17. Make sure that the drain stopper of a radiator is screwed hardly up and establish into place under a radiator the central air reflector.
18. Lower the car on the earth, then check level and if necessary make a dolivaniye of motive oil. It is strongly recommended, in case of installation of a new turbocompressor before start of the engine to replace motive oil as it will help protection of bearings of system of a turbo-supercharging in the period of a running in.
19. On models with water cooling of a turbocompressor check level and if necessary make dolivany cooling systems.
20. It is recommended at the first opportunity to make check of pressure of forcing in representative office of SAAB.

T25/TD04 turbocompressor

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Cock the emergency brake, then a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on axial support (address the Section: Poddomkrachivaniye, towage and change of wheels).
2. Remove the central air reflector from under a radiator, then merge the cooling system (The head Routine maintenance).
3. Disconnect and remove the control valve of increase in pressure from the support on a fan casing, disconnect wires.
4. Disconnect wires from the engine of the electric fan of the cooling system, then give bolts and remove a fan casing complete with the radiator fan.
5. Release from fixing clips of a wire a lambda probe.
6. Give nuts and disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a turbocompressor.
7. Weaken collars and disconnect an air hose between a turbocompressor and the measuring instrument of an air stream.
8. Weaken collars and disconnect a short hose between a tube of a cooler and a turbocompressor.
9. Give nipple bolts and pick up the cooling phone between a turbocompressor and the water pump.
10. Where is available, unscrew from a head of cylinders of a support of an oil tube and a tube of a cooler.
11. Give a nipple bolt and disconnect the oil line from a turbocompressor, shift it aside.
12. Give a nipple bolt and pick up the cooling phone between a turbocompressor and a head of cylinders.
13. Weaken collars and disconnect hoses of the valve of control of increase in pressure from a turbocompressor and a tripper device of pressure.
14. Weaken a collar and disconnect the forcing tube from a turbocompressor.
15. Otboltite also remove a bracket between a turbocompressor and the pallet of a case (B202 engines) and the block of cylinders (B204/B234 engines).
16. Give fixing bolts and remove from a turbocompressor and the pallet of the case / block a maslovozvratny tube. Remove laying and a sealing ring. Zakuporte an opening an adhesive tape in order to avoid dirt hit.
17. Give fixing nuts and remove a turbocompressor from a final collector, remove laying. Take out a turbocompressor from a motive compartment.

Installation into place

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clear contact surfaces and establish a turbocompressor on a final collector, having used new laying. Tighten fixing nuts with the required effort.
2. Install on a turbocompressor and the pallet the case / block a maslovozvratny tube, having used new laying and a new sealing ring. Tighten bolts.
3. Establish a bracket between a turbocompressor and the pallet of a case (B202 engines) or the block of cylinders (B204/B234 engines) and tighten bolts.
4. Slightly grease with the anti-taking hairpin compound on a turbocompressor, then establish a reception exhaust pipe and tighten fixing nuts with the required effort.
5. Connect a delivery tube and tighten clips.
6. Connect hoses of the valve of control of increase in pressure to a turbocompressor and a tripper device of pressure.
7. Establish into place between a turbocompressor and a head of cylinders a cooler tube, then tighten nipple bolts.
8. Fill a turbocompressor with pure motive oil via the maslopodayushchy union on a turbocompressor.
9. Connect the maslopodayushchy line to a turbocompressor and tighten a nipple bolt.
10. Where is available, establish on a head of cylinders of a support of a tube of a cooler and an oil tube.
11. Establish into place a cooling tube between a turbocompressor and the water pump and tighten nipple bolts.
12. Connect a short hose between a cooling tube and a turbocompressor and tighten collars.
13. Connect an air hose between a turbocompressor and the measuring instrument of an air stream, tighten collars.
14. Fix in clips a wire a lambda probe.
15. Install into place a casing of the electric fan cooling systems together with the fan of a radiator and tighten fixing bolts. Connect wires.
16. Install into place on a support on a fan casing the valve of control of increase in pressure and connect wires.
17. Check whether the drain stopper of a radiator is strong tightened, then establish into place under a radiator the central air reflector.
18. Lower the car on the earth, check level and if necessary add motive oil. At installation of a new turbocompressor it is strongly recommended to replace motive oil that will allow to provide the best protection of bearings of system of a turbo-supercharging during running in time.
19. Fill in the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance).
20. It is recommended at the first opportunity to make check of pressure of the supercharger in representative office of SAAB.

At start of the engine the turbocompressor has to be filled with oil.
