2.9. CD players

Compact disk player *

Use

The CD player turns on when the disk is inserted into shop of compact disks (2).

At extraction of a disk by means of the button (1) the player is switched off and the system comes back to the mode of use of the radio receiver.

Record level on compact disks is much higher, than on similar disks or cartridges. When loading a disk it is necessary to remove completely loudness on the radio receiver control panel, and already then gradually to adjust the necessary loudness when record reproduction begins. Do not increase loudness quickly as it can damage loudspeakers. The movement on an uneven surface can cause "proskakivaniye" at record reproduction, however, it does not do harm to either a disk, or the reproducing unit.

It is possible to load only one disk for once. Disks need to be inserted inscriptions up, otherwise the player will throw out a disk.

3-inch disks can also be lost without use of the adapter. When playing a 3-dyumovy disk on the display CD SINGLE is displayed. Do not use an adaptor ring as it can damage the CD player.

Usual reproduction of record

Insert a disk into a cut of shop (2) and reproduction of the first record will begin. When reproduction of the last record ends, the disk is lost repeatedly since the beginning.

Reproduction from compact disks

At the shop loaded into the player the choice of the CD mode by means of the SOURCE key will lead to reproduction of the first record of the first disk. If a choice of CD is made at the empty player, on the display the message of NO PACK will appear.

If in the course of reproduction of compact disks the mode of broadcasting or operation of the tape recorder is chosen, the CD player passes into the pause mode.

At renewal of the mode by means of the SOURCE key reproduction continues from the place of a stop.

1 DISC - Transition to other disk

Transition to other disk is carried out by means of pressing the DISC key. If the cut of the following disk is empty or the disk is faulty, transition to the following disk is carried out.

2 FWD/REW - the Accelerated rewind forward and back

Pressing of the FWD key leads to movement of the beginning of the following record.

Pressing of the REW key leads to movement of the beginning of the current record. If any of these keys more than 2 seconds keep in the pressed state, there is a reproduction of a disk at the increased speed in the direct or opposite direction. This mode remains 5 more seconds after release of a key. If the key kept in the pressed state more than 5 seconds, reproduction happens at higher speed.

Pressing of one of these keys during action of the HLV mode causes transition to reproduction of other record, and the RDM mode continues to work.

3 RDM - Reproduction of records in a casual order

The RDM mode is set by means of pressing of the RDM key. Reproduction of records of one disk in a casual order begins.

After all records of a disk are reproduced, transition to the disk following one after another is carried out. The mode is switched off by means of repeated pressing of the RDM key. Besides, the mode is switched off when pressing the SCAN key.

Pressing of one of the FWD or REW key during action of the RDM mode causes transition to reproduction of other record, and the RDM mode continues to work.

The CD player is terminated at the choice of other source (RADIO/TAPE).

At the same time the player passes into the pause mode.

4 SCN - Reproduction of each record within 10 seconds

The mode of scanning affects all shop of disks. By repeated pressing the SCN key there is a transition to normal reproduction of the current record.

The mode of scanning is switched off also when pressing one of the following keys: FWD/REW, RDM, DISC, SOURCE, or at switching off of the audio system.

5 RPT - Repetition of record or all disk

By pressing the RPT key there is a record repetition (on the display the message of REPEAT TRACK appears), or repetition of reproduction of all disk (on the display the message of REPEAT DISC appears). During action of the mode on the display the RPT indicator is displayed.
