2.3. Traveling computer

The display of the traveling EDU computer (cars with RKPP)

The display of the traveling EDU computer (cars with RKPP)

The display of the traveling EDU computer (cars with AT)

Performs various functions depending on model of your car and from its complete set. Two buttons of management

are located under hours, and under a speedometer the display on which the following information can be displayed is located:

— Average consumption of fuel
— Current consumption of fuel. On cars with RKPP this information is displayed by a horizontal rectangle on the right side of the display.
— Distance which can pass the car on the fuel which remained in a tank at its average consumption. When this distance decreases to 50 km and any other mode is set, on the display the arrow blinks.
— External temperature. If external temperature is in range from +3 °C to -3 °C and ignition is included, temperature is surely displayed on the display instead of accumulator tension. External temperature continues to be displayed on the display until by means of the INFO key other mode is not set, or still external temperature will not derate from +6 °C to -6 °C. External temperature is also displayed at movement of the car along the road.
— Accumulator tension. Tension of the accumulator is displayed at inclusion of ignition. At start of the engine it is remembered and then the minimum value of tension is displayed. After a start of motion the computer comes back to the last earlier chosen mode. Having noticed power failure at start of the engine, it is possible to draw some conclusions on a condition of the accumulator.

This information is displayed in the left part of the display under a speedometer. For change of the mode of the display it is necessary to press several times the INFO key until on the display the necessary information appears.
On the right part of the display the following messages are automatically displayed:

— CHECK ENGINE (check the engine)
— CHECK RADIATOR LEVEL (check liquid level in a radiator)

At inclusion of ignition both messages are displayed, and then in four seconds disappear.

CHECK ENGINE. This message appears at malfunction of system of injection or ignition. The car can continue to move with a little reduced load of the engine. It is necessary to check systems of the engine for car repair shops.

CHECK RADIATOR LEVEL. This message appears at lowering of the level of cooling liquid in a broad tank.

PRND 321. On cars with AT the chosen mode is noted by an orange rectangle under the corresponding symbol.

Choice of units of measure

For the choice of units of measure it is necessary to press at the same time the INFO and R key and to hold them pressed within not less than four seconds. By each such pressing one of the following sets of units of measure is established:

— liters / 100 km, kilometers, °C
— miles/gallon (gallon of the USA), miles, °F
— miles/gallon (имп. gallon), miles, °F
— miles/gallon (имп. gallon) miles, °C

Installation of the modes of the computer

For installation of the modes of display of average consumption of fuel and distance which can pass the car on the fuel which remained in a tank it is necessary to press a key R and to hold its pressed not less than four seconds. Emergence on the symbol display - - - means that it is reinstalled.

After installation calculation of average consumption of fuel begins anew with value of 10 liters / 100 km. The indication of the display is automatically updated at expenditure of 1000 liters of fuel or after the run of the next 10000 km.

Inclusion and switching off of the display

To switch off the display, it is necessary to press quickly at the same time two R and INFO keys and to hold their pressed not less than 4 seconds.

The display turns on when pressing any of these keys, at inclusion/switching off of ignition or at revenues to the computer of the warning messages.

Codes of malfunctions

At failure detection by one of computer sensors right after inclusion of ignition in the left part of the display for several seconds the message of ERR appears. This message can appear once again at the choice of the mode using the faulty sensor. It is necessary to eliminate malfunction at car repair shop.

Traveling SCC computer

The traveling SCC computer has the following modes:

— DIST.TO DEST. (distance to the destination)
— AVER.SPEED (average speed)
— SPEED WARN. (warning of speeding)
— CLOCK (hours)
— ARRIVAL (estimated time of arrival in the destination)
— ALARM (alarm clock)

The key is applied to installation of the following modes:

— DIST.TO DEST
— AVER. SPEED
— SPEED WARN.

The key is applied to installation of the following modes:

— CLOCK
— ARRIVAL

Installation of various modes of the computer should not be carried out to time of the movement.

Hours

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Choose the mode of hours CLOCK
2. Press and hold the SET key two seconds (figures will begin to blink).
3. Installation of time. Determine by repeated pressing the necessary time. Keeping of a key leads to more bystry change of figures.
4. Start hours, having quickly pressed the SET key.
5. To nullify hours, within 4 seconds hold the SET key.

At the switched-off ignition for a call of the indication of time, press the INFO key.

Arrival time to the destination

This mode is connected with the DIST.TO DEST modes. and AVER. SPEED. If you are interested in approximate arrival time to the destination, establish distance to the destination of DIST.TO DEST and the average speed of AVER. SPEED. At the same time arrival time according to the current average speed of the movement will be constantly calculated.
It is possible to watch the average speed of the movement which you have to support to arrive to the destination in certain time also. For this purpose it is necessary to enter distance to the destination and arrival time.
Average speed will be calculated before arrival in the destination.

If to establish AVER. SPEED by means of a key not later than 15 seconds after input of distance of time, will be displayed only average speed.

If to establish only distance to the destination, the estimated arrival time calculated on average speed throughout 500 meters will be displayed. After passing of 500 meters on the display it will be displayed----.

To set the mode of calculation of the expected arrival time on distance to the destination and average speed, it is necessary to execute the following:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Choose the ARRIVAL mode.
2. Press the SET key and hold within two seconds (figures will begin to blink).
3. Increase/reduction.
Determine desirable arrival time. Repeatedly press the corresponding key, the necessary time will not be determined yet. Constant pressing of a key leads to more bystry change of figures.
4. For transfer to memory of the determined time it is necessary to press the SET key quickly. To dump the established value, it is necessary to press the SET key within four seconds until on the display appears----.
5. If the ARRIVAL mode is applied together with the DIST modes. TO DEST. and AVER. SPEED, at the address of distance to the destination in zero value of arrival time will cease to change. The actual average speed of the movement will be displayed at the same time.

Alarm clock

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Choose the ALARM mode.

2. Press the SET key within two seconds (figures will begin to blink).
3. Increase/reduction. Determine desirable time of a signal. Repeatedly press the corresponding key, the necessary time will not be determined yet. Constant pressing of a key leads to more bystry change of figures.
4. For transfer to memory of the determined time it is necessary to press the SET key quickly. The computer publishes 5 sound signals in five seconds and then the five-second break follows. All this cycle is repeated 5 times. The signal sounds also at the switched-off ignition.

The signal can be interrupted, having quickly pressed any of three keys of the SCC computer. It is possible to determine the signal time entered earlier by means of pressing of the SET key within 2 seconds until figures begin to blink, and then it is necessary to press the SET key once again quickly.

To dump the established value, it is necessary to press the SET key during 4 sec. on the display so far will not appear---.

Distance to the destination

This mode is connected with the ARRIVAL and AVER modes. SPEED.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Choose the DIST mode. TO DEST.
2. Press the SET key and hold within two seconds (figures will begin to blink).
3. Increase/reduction. Establish distance in kilometers. Repeatedly press the corresponding key, the necessary distance will not be established yet. Constant pressing of a key leads to more bystry change of figures. Only the integer of kilometers is determined.
