15.7. Removal and installation to the place of the back shock-absorber

For saving characteristics of management of the car both shock-absorbers (left and right) have to be replaced at the same time.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Park the car on a plain surface, prop up forward wheels and establish a transmission control lever in the provision of the first transfer (the manual transmission) or the selector lever in situation "P" (automatic transmission). Take off a decorative cap from the corresponding back wheel and weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel.
2. A back part of the car also establish to Poddomkratta it on axial support, remove a wheel (address Poddomkrachivaniye's Section, towage and change of wheels).
3. Transfer a jack to a point under connection between a pipe of an axis and the lower lever of a suspension bracket. Cock a jack so that it apprehended on itself(himself) loading, having removed it from shock-absorbers and the stabilizer of cross stability.
4. In the luggage compartment remove the protective panel of a spare wheel, then turn off a rug and the side decorative panel, for ensuring access to the top support of the shock-absorber back (see the Head Body works). Remove a nut from a shock-absorber rod, a lock-nut, a cup and the plug.
5. Under the car remove a bolt which fixes the shock-absorber and the stabilizer of cross stability to an adjusting bracket on an axis pipe.
6. Slightly lower a jack and separate the lower support of the shock-absorber from an axis pipe.
7. Take the shock-absorber from a wheel arch, pay attention that on the top support there have to be a plug and a washer.
8. Examine the shock-absorber regarding detection of signs of leaks, paying special attention to a piston rod epiploon. Check correctness of functioning of the shock-absorber, having firmly pressed 2 or 3 times a piston rod, having advanced it at all length of the course, and then quickly, having several times made three short pushes. At the same time equal constant resistance has to be felt; in case resistance is not uniform, too weak or, in the presence of unusual noise, the block of the shock-absorber is subject to replacement.
9. Examine a piston rod regarding detection of signs of corrosion or deformation; at an unsatisfactory condition of a rod replace the shock-absorber block.

Installation into place

Correct assembly order of components of the top support of the shock-absorber


Install the shock-absorber into place, working as it should be the return to a removal order taking into account the next moments:

   a) You watch that components of the top support of the shock-absorber were installed in the correct order.
   b) Tighten a bolt of the lower support with the required effort.
   c) Establish into place a wheel, lower the car on the earth and tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel with the required effort.
