14:12. Check, removal and installation to the place of the block of the vacuum amplifier of brakes

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of functioning of the block of the vacuum amplifier squeeze out several times a pedal of a foot brake at the switched-off engine for vacuum dumping. Start the engine, holding a pedal of firmly pressed; on reaching turns of normal idling in process of increase in vacuum of the pipeline resistance of a pedal has to fall a little. Allow the engine to work within at least two minutes, then switch off it. Now, if to press a brake pedal, the feeling has to be usual, however with each subsequent pressing the feeling has to become more and more firm at reduction of the course of a pedal.
2. If the system of vacuum strengthening of brakes does not function as it is described above, at first check serviceability of the backpressure valve of the block of the amplifier (The section Removal, check and installation to the place of the backpressure valve of the block of vacuum strengthening of brakes).
3. If the valve as it should be, then malfunction lies in the block. As the block is not subject to repair, it has to be replaced.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In a forward left foot well remove the decorative panel under the forward panel ("Torpedo").
2. Find the connecting rod connecting the pedal mechanism to the block of the vacuum amplifier of brakes. In a point where the connecting rod fastens to draft, remove a fixing clip and take a pin with a head and an opening under the forelock.
3. Disconnect both wires of the battery, then take the battery from a motive compartment (The head Sistemy of start and a charge).
4. On models till 1990 of the issue weaken a fixing strip of the fuel filter and, having lifted the filter (without detachment of fuel lines), displace it from the battery pallet aside.
5. Remove blocks of plugs from the battery pallet. Otboltite the battery pallet from an internal mudguard also take out it from a motive compartment.
6. Merge brake fluid from system (address the Head Routine maintenance).
7. Remove the main cylinder (The section Removal, capital repairs and installation to the place of the main brake cylinder).
8. Take the backpressure valve (address the Head Body works) from the block of the vacuum amplifier of brakes, however leave it connected to the vacuum hose conducting to the inlet pipeline.
9. In interior of the car in the left foot well remove 4 fixing nuts of the block of the vacuum amplifier located behind brake drive mechanism brackets.

In order to avoid falling of the block of the amplifier at an otdavaniye of the last nut for its support use the help of the assistant.

Installation into place

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of the block of the vacuum amplifier and a partition. Establish new laying on fixing hairpins of the block.
2. Install the block on the seat. Pass a connecting rod through a partition, watching that it was correctly combined with the brake drive mechanism.
3. Establish into place a pin with a head and an opening under the forelock and a fixing clip. Put on 4 fixing nuts the hairpins of the block of the vacuum amplifier passed through a partition and tighten them with the required effort. Install the decorative panel to the place of behind pedals.
4. Connect a vacuum hose, having inserted the backpressure valve back into the sealing plug in the block of the amplifier (The section Removal, check and installation to the place of the backpressure valve of the block of vacuum strengthening of brakes).
5. Install into place the main brake cylinder, brake lines and hoses (The section Removal, capital repairs and installation to the place of the main brake cylinder).
6. Install into place the battery pallet, the battery, battery wires, working as it should be, the return to a removal order.
7. On models till 1990 install to the issue into place the fuel filter and its fixing strip.
8. Add in the tank brake fluid to a mark a maximum and pump over all brake system (Section Pumping of the Brake System).
9. Check functioning of the vacuum amplifier of brakes as it is described at the beginning of this section. Now the car is ready to use.
