11.3. Adjustment of draft of the drive of gear shifting

If movement of draft of the drive of gear shifting is carried out too hardly, too freely or vaguely, then the wrong combination between draft and a rod of the choice of transfers takes place. In the following paragraphs procedures of check and adjustment of combination of draft with a rod are described.

Park the car, cock the emergency brake and switch off ignition.

Only for models till 1994 of the issue.

Establish a transmission control lever in position of the reverse gear.

Only for models after 1994 of the issue.

Find an opening for blocking in the top part of the case of the transmission in the neighbourhood with shildiky. Take a stopper from an opening (it is specified by an arrow). Establish a transmission control lever on the fourth transfer, then take the screw-driver with a sting with a diameter about 4 mm and insert it into an opening; it will block the transmission in the provision of the fourth transfer - the handle of the screw-driver will not allow to fail it in the transmission.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In interior of the car for ensuring access to a transmission control lever casing, remove a cuff of a control lever and an adjusting frame. Take the screw-driver with a sting about 4 mm in the diameter and insert it into an opening for blocking in a lever casing sidewall.
2. If the screw-driver is entered without effort, then draft is adjusted correctly and, therefore, is not the reason of bad gear shifting; further it will be most correct to remove draft of the drive of gear shifting and to examine it regarding wear and damages (The section Removal, survey and installation to the place of the gear shifting drive).
3. If the screw-driver is not inserted into an opening for blocking, then position of draft is adjusted incorrectly.
4. In a motive compartment of a point where the rod of the choice of transfers passes through a partition, weaken a coupling bolt of draft of the choice of transfers (A) near the rubber coupling (V) for providing a free wheeling between two halves of a rod of the choice of transfers.
5. Move a transmission control lever so that the sting of the screw-driver was implanted into an opening for blocking in a lever casing; you watch at the same time that the lever still was in the provision of the fourth speed.
6. In a motive compartment tighten a coupling bolt on a rod of the choice of transfers, observing the required effort of tightening.
7. Take out the screw-driver from an opening for blocking and establish a plastic stopper.
8. Take the screw-driver from an opening for blocking on a transmission control lever casing.
9. Establish into place a protective cuff of the lever of the choice of transfers and an adjusting frame.
10. Before starting on the car, make sure that the control lever of the transmission moves from the neutral provision of transfer to provisions of all six transfers.
